The web is the greatest collaborative effort across and beyond humankind!

Linking to other people's and communities' works is a way of celebrating it!

Essential readings

  1. My handcrafted site, by Pixouls.
  2. Informática do Oprimido, by Rodrigo Ochigame (on /digiLabour).

Side note: the fish indeed knows nothing about the water in which it goes through its whole existence (but that's still the fish who better navigates it)...

  1. The metagaming manifesto: what should we do with our games?, by Stephanie Boluk and Patrick Lemieux (on Itch.io).
  2. The gentrification of the videogame history, by Felipe Pepe (on Medium).

Side note: it makes me think about the gentrification of the internet's own history by extension (as we see that in the "old web" common-place narrative) and many other things, like the business models of societies attached to a culture of digital goodies/licenses purchasing beyond games vs. the ones where advertising takes place ostensibly -- as the only way of going through a service because there's no other business alternatives locally (structural issue) and/or the ones existing (externally) do not offer a policy of purchasing power parity at the very least. And it also, obviously, makes me question what's piracy really about.

  1. A armadilha do jogo educativo, by Pedro Paiva (on Coletivo Peteca Nacional).
  2. Chart's Translations: Toby Fox's interview with Kikiyama
  3. Buying digital music, by Dan Erat.

This hack is particularly inspiring.
