The web is the greatest collaborative effort across and beyond humankind!
Linking to other people's and communities' works is a way of celebrating it!

Essential readings
- My handcrafted site, by Pixouls.
- Informática do Oprimido, by Rodrigo Ochigame (on /digiLabour).
Side note: the fish indeed knows nothing about the water in which it goes through its whole existence, and that's still the fish who better navigates through it!
- The metagaming manifesto: what should we do with our games?, by Stephanie Boluk and Patrick Lemieux (on Itch.io).
- The gentrification of the videogame history, by Felipe Pepe (on Medium).
Side note: it makes me think about the gentrification of the internet's own history by extension (as we see that in the "old web" common-place narrative) and many other things, like the architectures of some business models in societies attached to a culture of digital goodies purchasing and/or licensing beyond games vs. the ones where advertising takes place ostensibly -- as the only way of going through a service because there's no other business alternatives locally (structural issue) and/or the ones existing (externally) do not offer a purchasing power parity (ppp) policy at the very least. And it also, obviously, makes me question what's piracy really about.
- A armadilha do jogo educativo, by Pedro Paiva (on Coletivo Peteca Nacional).
- Chart's Translations: Toby Fox's interview with Kikiyama
- How Brazil's tecnobrega genre has thrived with no industry support, by Raphael Tsavkko (on Remezcla).
- Buying digital music, by Dan Erat.

Amazing blogs
Amazing devs on Itch.io
Great artists on Bandcamp
Side note: I had to link to Björk albums on bandcamp for the young who happen to find this page and may not know her, yes.
"Why would they know you instead of knowing Björk, Beta?"... Welp, don't ask me hard questions.
Games that feel special
- Slot Brothers, the lost Earthbound game (not anymore
) - Pen Pals (unfinished game from the early web culture)
- The first ever brazilian SMW romhack to my knowledge, which is just a translation hack prior to Lunar Magic (the existing level editor for the game). By Marcelo Camanho (MacRj), I was able to find the author through the brazilian scientific resume platform/database because of the full name in the README file as well as the location in the alias/nick lol... This hack is particularly inspiring.
- Guro (MeNe) - Demo standard hack featuring a lil silly penguin. It was the first romhack I ever routed for speedrunning purposes, back in 2021, but my recordings are now lost (late 2024 mental breakdown). The game was also rejected by SMWC at the time, due to being considered "unpolished".
- Yuujin No Inai Mario (Zarigus) - Kaizo. It was considered lost media for nearly 18 years until the attempted submission to SMWC by kimkyujin of a modified version of the game (2025-08-17), proven inauthentic (meant that this person tried to pass as the original author of a brand new hack, attempted plagiarism). Later, the minor changes in the submission were all reverted by heraga to create a version of the ROM from the existing recordings that's 1:1 with the original game (2025-08-23). SMWC is currently unable to accept this submission transparently or by official means (publicly, with a dedicated page to share with its regular userbase) due to their own rigid stances on the matter (denying all submissions made with no explicit consent by the original creator), although the bps file is still technically hosted there (2025-10-12, reconfirmed 2026-02-26).
